UPGRADE METHOD OF AN ESCALATOR OR A TRAVOLATOR

FIELD: machine building.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to modernization of existing escalator (1) or travolator (1). Method includes, at least, following stages, consisting in that from existing escalator (1) or travolator (1) from existing frame (6) all electric and mechanical parts are separated, wherein existing frame (6) comprises two side structures (31, 32) and floor structure (37) connecting them, and carcass side walls (31, 32) are interconnected by transverse braces arranged at distance from floor structure (37), and that all existing transverse braces (39) of existing carcass (6) are removed and at least part of removed cross brace (39) is replaced by new cross braces (40). During replacement of transverse braces (39, 40), at least, in one located at a distance from floor structure (37) of existing frame (6), both sides (31, 32) are connected to each other, stabilizing each other.
