For surgical treatment of rhegmatogenous retinal detachment combined with posterior vitreous detachment, three punctures are made in flat part of ciliary body, subtotal vitrectomy, substitution of physiological solution and endolaser coagulation of retina around rupture. During the vitrectomy, the periphery and the retinal rupture area are scrapped with sclerocompression. That is followed by physiological solution replacement with air to the level of rupture and aspiration of the subretinal liquid in the air. Remaining physiologic solution is removed from vitreal cavity, endolaser coagulation of retina around rupture is performed with sclerocompression.
