FIELD: physics.;SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in adsorption equipment for accumulation of gases, as well as in material science and electronics. First, saturation of the parent volume of carbon nanotubes is carried out with molecules-coordinators: hydrocarbons of a normal, aromatic, naphthenic, acetylene or olefinic series in liquid form at temperatures below the boiling point of the corresponding hydrocarbon in amount of 40–230 wt. %, is brought to room temperature in a sealed container at the pressure of the equilibrium phase of hydrocarbons of 1–5 bar, held for at least 24 hours. Excess coordinator molecules are removed by vacuum or thermo-vacuum desorption to residual pressure of not less than 10 Pa. Obtained material is an ordered supramolecular structure of carbon nanotubes, coordinated into an array located at a distance from each other, determined by structural properties of coordinator molecule, or at a given distance relative to each other with formation of secondary porosity, parameters of which are determined by structural characteristics of coordinator molecules after their removal.;EFFECT: invention allows safe and reliable accumulation of methane and hydrogen.;7 cl, 2 tbl, 6 dwg, 5 ex
