FIELD: printing equipment.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to special types of printing, which enables to create an original image in body of sheet material, which protects it from counterfeiting. Method is developed for creation on sheet material of image in thin layer, shimmering with colours of rainbow, consisting in action on applied image by light flux reflected from diffraction grating at various angles of rotation of illumination. In order to create the effect of the vanishing and appearing iridescent image with different rainbow colours in the thickness of the structure not exceeding 30–40 mcm, a two-layer film structure is formed, in the upper layer of which there are two diffraction gratings with a calculated constant structure and an arrangement of the gap between them, which provides coherent nanostructured growth of bicrystals nano-whiskers.;EFFECT: selecting threshold radiation power, which provides independent seeding due to self-focusing of seed crystals with subsequent growth, and in the second layer there is a non-ferrous metal or its alloy with high reflection coefficient.;5 cl, 7 dwg
