Eye drops for treating age-related nuclear cataracts contain a serotonin receptor antagonist, specifically ondansetron hydrochloride dihydrate, as an active ingredient, as well as auxiliary components which increase the therapeutic effect of the active ingredient: substances which provide viscosity of the medium; substances which maintain the pH of the medium; stabilizer of biological, physical and chemical properties and/or resistance to microbial contamination; solvent and water.
