FIELD: technological processes.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to separation of solid materials, specifically to combined methods of separating wastes when making multilayer articles from ABS plastic and reinforcing layers. Method of processing wastes in making articles from ABS plastic involves stages of crushing, washing, sorting and drying. Crushing is performed in two stages. At the first stage, coarse crushing is performed to fractions of 50–20 mm and partial separation of reinforcing material from ABS plastic. At the second step, the wastes are ground to fine fraction with size of 3–5 mm and the reinforcing material is completely separated from ABS plastic. At each stage of crushing mechanical sorting of wastes is carried out, after crushing obtained mixture of particles of ABS-plastic and reinforcing material is subjected to sieving at which fine fractions of mixture and dust from the main mixture are separated. Sifted mixture is subjected to separation by air, in which particles of reinforcing material are separated by air flows from particles of ABS plastic, after which mixture is subjected to washing in salt solution of water, density higher than density of particles of ABS-plastic. Washed ABS plastic particles are removed from the surface of the solution and subjected to drying. Screening is performed on the vibrating screens. Mixture is washed in 5 % saline solution.;EFFECT: high quality of recycling wastes containing layers of ABS plastic and reinforcing material, and obtaining raw material of high degree of purification.;5 cl
