FIELD: medicine.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, namely, to forensic medicine. To diagnose aspiration-type drowning, CT examination of paranasal sinuses is performed. Presence of fluid in sinuses of wedge-shaped bone, maxillary, frontal, cells of latticed labyrinth is detected. If observing fluid in all said regions, aspiration type of drowning is diagnosed.;EFFECT: method improves accuracy of performing forensic medical examination of corpses with aspiration type of drowning due to visualization of any volume of liquid in paranasal sinuses, reduced time and volume of examination of corpses during drowning by eliminating the need for multiple laboratory, biochemical and histological studies, preserves aesthetic appearance by eliminating destruction of bones of the facial skeleton.;1 cl, 3 dwg, 3 ex
