FIELD: medicine.;SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a composition for determining the probability of preterm delivery in a pregnant woman, containing a pair of recovered biological markers IBP4 and SHBG or a pair of surrogate peptides from a pair of biological markers IBP4 and SHBG, wherein said pair of biological markers demonstrates a change in the value of the treatment between pregnant women with risk of preterm delivery and full-term controls, wherein said treatment value is based on the relation of said IBP4 to said SHBG (IBP4/SHBG).
