METHOD FOR TREATING SPASMODIC COUGH IN PERTUSSIS INFECTION IN CHILDREN

FIELD: medicine.;SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to a method of treating spasmodic cough in whooping cough in children. Method involves administration of an inhaled glucocorticosteroid (GCS) of budesonide. Treatment is carried out in children, including unimmunized infants, depending on severity of the disease: with mild disease severity and spasmodic cough frequency of 1 to 10 attacks, budesonide is administered in dose of 0.25 mg 2 times day every 12 hours for up to 2 weeks; with moderate disease severity and spasmodic cough frequency of 11 to 20 attacks, budesonide is administered in dose of 0.25 mg 3 times day every 8 hours or 0.5 mg 2 times day every 12 hours for up to 4 weeks; if the severity of the disease is severe and the spasmodic cough frequency is more than 20, the budesonide is administered in dose of 0.5 mg 3 times day every 8 hours for 2 weeks or 0.5 mg 2 times day every 12 hours for 2 weeks; correcting the dosage and duration of the inhalations depending on the change in the frequency of spasmodic cough and severity of the disease during the course of treatment.;EFFECT: method provides the therapeutic effectiveness of treating spasmodic cough with inhaled GCS with various degrees of whooping cough.;1 cl, 1 tbl, 5 ex
