FIELD: electrical engineering.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electric engineering and can be used for the DC motor armature rotation with independent excitation at the collector bore. In the method of DC motor armature rotation with independent excitation with armature rated voltage more than 600V and power more than 3 MWt for collector groove as a source of supply of the anchor thyristor converter (4) there is used three-phase transformer (5) with rated voltage of the gate winding U2L = 203–208V, which provides voltage at anchor of DC motor (1) with independent excitation winding (3), not exceeding amplitude value UM  300V. Method allows making DC motor armature with independent excitation in case of absence of engine supply circuit from generator or absence of auxiliary motor on shaft, excluding costs for auxiliary engine mounting, as well as excluding costs for transportation of anchor for grooves on special machine; providing electric safety of personnel, as well as avoiding prevention of collector spoilage, which occurs due to arc discharge between plates from interaction with cutter or shavings.;EFFECT: providing DC motor armature rotation with independent excitation for collector bore in its bearings without use of auxiliary motor, personnel electric safety, prevention of collector spoilage arising as a result of arc discharge between plates from interaction with cutter or shavings.;1 cl, 1 dwg
