FIELD: electrical engineering.;SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in electric engineering for ice melting on overhead power transmission lines. Plant comprises a three-phase bridge converter on fully controlled semiconductor gates, shunted by mutually connected diodes, a three-pole switch and a series-connected three-phase throttle, units of storage batteries or high-power supercapacitors (hereinafter – units), in the first case, used to smooth load graphs, in the second case –for ice melting, in the first case are closed by two-pole switches, forming one group of parallel connected units, in the second one – open, in the first case are connected by contacts of the single-pole switch with emitter and commutator outputs of the converter valves, in the second – by open, in the first case, single-pole switches, which enable to connect series of units into one group, are open, in the second one – closed to increase voltage supplied to the wire, one output of the group is connected to the wire of the overhead line via the double-pole switch "plus", and the second output of the group is connected "by minus" to the ground, at that, melting of glaze with direct current is carried out according to the "wire – round" scheme.;EFFECT: possibility of melting ice with the help of high-power energy accumulators contained in gas piston units without buying additional equipment.;1 cl, 1 dwg
