FIELD: ice-technology.;SUBSTANCE: method for destruction of ice cover on rivers relates to the field of ice-technical equipment and can be used during preventive works for destruction of ice cover on sections of rivers to prevent ice jamming. In the present invention, it is proposed to use for the ice cover destruction on the jam dangerous areas of the river the artificial water level rise using the temporary ice dams under the ice, which are destroyed under pressure of water on a given section of the dam, thereby accelerating the flow rate for straightening the river bed.;EFFECT: technical result consists in natural destruction of ice cover on jam areas of rivers to prevent ice jamming and straightening of river bed.;1 cl, 4 dwg
