FIELD: chemistry.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing 1,9-(1',4'-oksatiano)-1,9-dihydro-(C60-Ih][5,6]fullerene of formula (1).; ;Inventive method comprises reacting bifunctional mercaptoalcohols (2-mercaptoethanol, 1-mercapto-2-propanol, 2-mercapto-3-butanol) and fullerene C60 in the presence of solid LiOH under ultrasound action in molar ratio C60 : mercaptoalcohols : LiOH ratio equal to 1:20–700:40–500, in air at room temperature in a medium of toluene for 1 hour and subsequent extraction of the end product using preparative high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).;EFFECT: method of selective production of 1,9-(1',4'-oksatiano)-1,9-dihydro-(C60-Ih][5,6]fullerene of formula (1) in high yield (91 %); obtained compound can be used as synthon for synthesis of derivatives of oxathian C60, having insecticidal, acaricidal, fungicidal and antibacterial activities, as well as in production of nanomaterials.;1 cl, 1 tbl, 1 ex
