Cutting device comprises movable frame (3), wire (41) or blade (42) fixed on said frame (3), and first drive (51, 52) connected to said frame (3), causing movement of frame (3) in first direction (x). Cutting device (101..106) also comprises second drive (61, 62, 62'), connected to said frame (3), which causes movement of frame (3) in second direction (z) passing across first direction (x). Second drive (61, 62, 62') can be actuated independently from said first drive (51, 52). Invention also relates to a method for cutting dough by means of said cutting device (101..106), in which during movement of wire (41) / blade (42) first drive (51, 52) and second drive (61, 62, 62') are actuated simultaneously.;EFFECT: use of group of inventions enhances quality of obtained product.;18 cl, 7 dwg
