The invention relates to a mechanical oscillator (1) for a timepiece comprising: • a suspended balance (3) arranged to oscillate around a geometric axis of rotation (9), • a plurality of elastic systems (5) arranged in series and connecting said balance (9) to an attachment member (7) arranged to fix said oscillator (1) to a structural element that comprises said timepiece. Each elastic system (5) comprises an even number of at least four external frames and at least two internal connecting elements, each frame carrying two elastic elements each extending between said frame and one of said internal connecting elements. Each internal connecting element is connected to the two elastic elements carried by one of said frames as well as to an elastic element adjacent to each of the frames of the same elastic system (5) located on either side of said one frame. . Each of said elastic systems (5) is fixed to each elastic system (5) adjacent thereto by means of one of two of its frames, said frames being nonadjacent to one another. The invention also relates to a watch movement comprising such a mechanical oscillator.
