A mechanical oscillator for a timepiece comprises a mounting base (18) and a rocker (6). First, second, third and fourth resiliently flexible blades (23a, 23b) carry and recall the rocker (6) so that the rocker (6) is angularly oscillating in a plane of oscillation. Each of the first and second resiliently flexible blades (23a) has a first end (24) rigidly connected to the mounting base (18). Each of the third and fourth resiliently flexible blades (23b) has a first end (25) rigidly connected to the balance (6). The second ends (26) of the resiliently flexible blades (23a, 23b) are rigidly joined to one another.
