A wireless communication device comprising: one or more antennas; radio circuit to which one or more antennas are coupled and configured to facilitate wireless communication of the wireless communication device via the one or more antennas according to a first radio access technology (RAT) and a second RAT; first RAT control element configured to control first communication of the wireless communication device performed according to the first RAT; a second RAT control element configured to control second communication of the wireless communication device performed according to the second RAT ; anda processor element configured to identify at least one primary application active on a wireless link of the first communication, the primary application following an expected data transfer pattern; anddetermining, in response to identifying the at least one primary application, an expected data transfer pattern on the first communication, wherein the first RAT control element is configured to inform the second RAT control element of the expected data transfer pattern; andwherein the second RAT control is configured to cause an algorithm to be executed in response to the notification from the first RAT control, the execution of the algorithm causing the second communication to be performed based on the expected data transfer pattern.
