Numerical control device comprising an axle movement control unit designed to control the movements of a table axle and a press axle according to a processing programme, where:-the axle movement control unit is equipped for this:-start the movement of the press axis for a first block at a first upper point of death and-if the condition of the table axle fulfils a condition suitable for starting the movement of the pressure axle for the second block and if the movement of the pressure axle for the first block is not completed, start the movement of the pressure axle for a second block at a second upper point of death, lower than the first upper point of death, causing the movement of the press axis for the first and second block to overlap.
