Rotatable and swiveling 3D printing system for the production of hollow chambers in moldings, which are produced by the layer melting process

Abstract: Up to now, 3D printers, which are supposed to produce a cavity inside the molded body in the layer-melting process, can only realize this with the help of supports, vaults or sloping roofs. The present invention aims at the printing technology production of flat horizontal ceiling structures with arbitrarily large spans. This is done inter alia by the use of rotating and swiveling printing platforms. With this method, large weight savings can be achieved in the construction of lightweight components.
