Anchoring apparatus for the adjustment of palatally displaced upper canines

The anchoring apparatus for the adjustment of palatally displaced upper canines - see drawing - is a laboratory-made apparatus with which it is possible to straighten the displaced canine tooth palatally as well as to transfer it to the vestibular region. This apparatus offers good anchoring against mesial tilting and mesial migration of the anchoring teeth. No bite block and no wearing of intermaxillary elastic bands is required to move the canine to the vestibular. The wearing time of the multiband device is significantly reduced.
