The invention relates to a method for providing a transport container system (1) with a container interior temperature lying within a desired range. At least one second PCM element (4) is tempered outside the container (2) in such a way that the phase change material of this second PCM element (4) is in a completely liquid state of aggregation. The tempered PCM elements (4) are arranged in the container (2). The temperature control and the PCM elements (4) are configured so that after placing the PCM elements (4) in the container (2), the container internal temperature in the desired range adjusts.
