The present invention uses the combination of methods based on centrifugal separation and acceleration of this separation by the action of ultrasound, the gas mixture rotating in two parallel spiral runs. These spiral runs are connected at one end so that the gas passes through the two in the opposite direction. This has the great advantage that the gas connections are on one side of the gas separator and can be coupled to other gas separators via short lines in order to achieve the desired separation results. The spiral runs surround the cylindrical ultrasound generator, with the ultrasound on the entire inner surface of the spiral runs inside an elastic membrane is generated. The electrodynamic principle of the loudspeakers is used here. Semi-ring-shaped magnets and corresponding iron sheets and yokes are used, with coils attached to the membrane being traversed by current at a high frequency while they are in the strong magnetic field of iron sheets and thus together with the respective membrane part are located exactly under the gaps between the vibrate radial walls of the spiral barrels and thus generate the ultrasound and send it in the direction of centrifugation.
