A device for robot-assisted processing of surfaces is described below. According to an embodiment, the device has the following: a holder that can be mounted on a manipulator, a processing machine with a tool (e.g. a grinding wheel), and a linear actuator for setting a relative position of the tool relative to the holder. The device also has a maintenance unit with a pivotable bracket. The bracket is pivotally mounted on the bracket so that the maintenance unit can be at least partially positioned in front of the tool by pivoting the bracket.
