The invention relates to a method for producing an aluminum strip (62) with high strength and high electrical conductivity, in which a melt (54) of a hardenable aluminum alloy is initially formed into an aluminum strip (62) by a continuous casting process, in particular by double roller casting in which the aluminum strip (62) is rolled to its final thickness by cold rolling and in which the aluminum strip (62) is artificially aged between the continuous casting process and the cold rolling. The invention also relates to an aluminum strip (62) that can be manufactured using this method, or an aluminum product made therefrom, and the use of the aluminum strip (62) or aluminum product for an electrical conductor, in particular for an aluminum cable.
