A device (1) for the manual treatment of a surface (2) comprises a mixing unit (8) for providing a dry ice-compressed air mixture (G) and a manually controllable blasting device (5) for discharging the dry ice-compressed air mixture (G) the surface (2). The dry ice (T) to be discharged is provided in a discharge container (6). The discharge container (6) is carried by an operator. To provide compressed air (D), the device (1) has a displaceable compressed air source (17). The device (1) enables a simple, flexible and efficient treatment of the surface (2) with the dry ice-compressed air mixture (G).
