The invention concerns a camera device (10) to produce an image of an environment, comprising a carrier medium (12),which is trained as a light conductor and which has a coupling area (14) and an output area (16). Over the coupling area (14) light can be used (24),which falls from the surrounding area to the coupling area (14) to be coupled into the carrier medium. By means of internal reflection, the light (24) can be transmitted by the carrier medium (12) from the coupling range (14) to the uncoupling range (16). At the disconnect area (16), the transmitted light (24) can be disconnected from the carrier medium (12) and finally from an imaging device (26),which are applied to the disconnection area (16). The carrier medium (12) in the area of the coupling area (14) is at least flexibly trained in a range. Thus, for example, the camera device (10) can be rolled or folded together for transport.
