This disclosure relates to a power converter for performing a power conversion and generating an output voltage according to a reference voltage for the output voltage. The power converter includes a filter circuit for filtering the output voltage of the power converter, an error amplifier circuit receiving the reference voltage as the first input voltage and the filtered output voltage as the second input voltage, comparing the first input voltage and the second input voltage and generating an error voltage according to a result of the comparison, and a drive circuit for driving one or more switching devices in response to the error voltage. The error amplifier circuit has a first differential circuit receiving the first input voltage and the second input voltage as inputs, and a first bias current generation circuit for generating a first bias current for the first differential circuit, a second differential circuit including the first input voltage and the first differential current second input voltage receives as inputs, and a second bias current generating circuit for generating a second bias current for the second differential circuit and a bias current redistribution circuit for redistributing at least a portion of the first bias current to the second differential circuit or redistributing at least a portion of the second bias current to the first differential circuit. The disclosure further relates to a corresponding method for performing a power conversion.
