Cutting device, in particular wood cutting device, comprising a circular saw blade (10), a protective hood (12) for the circular saw blade (10), a swiveling rocking support (14) partially delimiting a cutting material receiving area (16) for using the cutting device as a rocking saw, a table support (18) adjustable between a waiting position and a functional position for using the cutting device as a table saw, and a safety cover (20) for at least temporarily covering the cutting material receiving area (16), wherein the safety cover (20) is adjustable between a functional position and a waiting position, whereby the safety cover (20) in the waiting position is mounted on a swivel bearing (28) on an area of the rocking pad (14) facing away from the circular saw blade (10) and releases the area for the material to be cut (16).
