The invention relates to a mesoporous organic material which makes it possible to extract, by the liquid-solid extraction technique, uranium (VI) present in an aqueous medium comprising phosphoric acid very efficiently and with high selectivity. vis-à-vis the iron likely to be also present in this medium. It also relates to the uses of this material. The material is capable of being obtained by crosslinking polymerization of a monomer of formula (I) below: in which: R1, R2 and R3 represent, independently of one another, H, a hydrocarbon group, saturated or unsaturated , linear or branched, in C1 to C12 or a polymerizable group, with the condition that at least one of R1, R2 and R3 is a polymerizable group; R4 and R5 represent, independently of one another, H or a hydrocarbon group, saturated or unsaturated, linear or branched, C1 to C8; the crosslinking polymerization being carried out in the presence of a crosslinking agent and one or more pore-forming agents. Applications: treatment of natural phosphates in order to develop the uranium (VI) present in these phosphates.
