The invention relates to an assembly for supplying liquefied gas fuel to a ship (1) situated on a body of water, the assembly comprising: - a transfer pipe (6) connecting the ship (1) to an installation storage (4) of liquefied gas; - a floating covering device (7) comprising a plurality of floating non-flammable elements, the non-flammable elements having a density less than the density of the liquefied gas allowing the non-flammable elements to float above a sheet of liquefied gas, the elements non-flammable being linked to each other by a holding device, the floating covering device (7) having gaps between the non-flammable elements configured to allow the passage of a flow of liquefied gas through the floating covering device (7) ; wherein the floating cover (7) is located in an area of the body of water and below the transfer line (6) in a position of use to reduce the risk of ignition of a sheet of liquefied gas resulting from a leak from said transfer line (6).
