Watertight and thermally insulating tank integrated in a support structure, the walls of the tank comprising an insulating block anchored on the support structure and a corrugated waterproof membrane (16), the waterproof membrane (16) comprising a series of parallel corrugations (18) to a direction of the waves, in which corrugations (18) of the waterproof membrane are continuous between a ceiling wall and a first liquid dome wall (23) anchored on a first wall of a chimney (8), and in which a second liquid dome wall (24) adjacent to the first liquid dome wall (23) further comprises an overthick layer (25) dimensioned so that a minimum distance separates a said continuous ripple (18) from the waterproof membrane (16) of the first liquid dome wall (23) and an edge (22) formed by the junction between the waterproof membranes (16) of the first and second liquid dome walls.
