VARIABLE GAIN AMPLIFIER INCORPORATED IN A RECEPTION CHAIN

The variable gain amplifier comprises two branches (BA1, BA2) for amplification and attenuation, and first and second resistive means (MR1, MR2) coupled respectively between the two branches (BA1, BA2). Each branch (BA1, BA2) has a voltage follower stage (EST1, EST2) and a configurable amplification stage (EC1, EC2). The voltage follower stages (EST1, EST2) are intended to receive a differential signal (SSD1, SSD2) and configured to deliver via the first resistive means (MR1) a current differential intermediate signal (Issdl), and the amplification stages (EC1, EC2) are intended to receive the differential current intermediate signal (Issdl) and a digital control word (MNC), and configured to deliver via the second resistive means (MR2) a differential voltage output signal (Vssd) according to the value of said digital control word (MNC).
