The invention relates to a method for purifying a hydroalcoholic charge comprising ethanol, acetaldehyde and impurities, said method comprising a step a) of counter-current liquid-liquid extraction comprising an extraction section fed at the top with said hydroalcoholic charge and a raffinate from step b) and at the bottom with an extraction solvent, and producing at the top an extraction flow and at the bottom with a hydroalcoholic effluent; and a counter-current liquid-liquid counter-extraction step b) comprising a counter-extraction section fed at the head with an aqueous solution and at the bottom with the extraction flow from step a), and producing head an extract and in the bottom said raffinate, said counter-extraction section being operated at a temperature between 10 and 90 ° C, at a pressure between 0.1 and 0.5 MPa, in the presence of an acid solid and at a hourly volume speed (VVH) between 1.8 and 17 h-1.
