This method of managing the display of an aeronautical cartography from cartographic data, is implemented by an electronic management device and comprises the following steps: - acquisition of a display scale (R) of the cartography ; - determination of a set of symbol (s) representative of obstacle (s) (25A, 25B) to be displayed, the obstacle or obstacles being included in the cartographic data, where: + if the distance between two obstacles is greater than a visible distance threshold which is a function of the display scale (R), two separate symbols (25A) are determined for these obstacles, each being representative of a respective obstacle, and + if the distance between two obstacles is less than or equal to the visible distance threshold, a symbol representing a grouping of obstacles (25B) is determined for these obstacles.
