The invention relates to a precorrection method comprising the following steps: a) determining an initial modulated signal (Smod) as a function of a signal (s) to be restored in sound form, b2) determining a predicted sound signal (spred), representative of a sound wave which would be generated by auto-demodulation in the air of an ultrasonic wave emitted by a given transducer receiving as input the initial modulated signal, b3) determining a distortion signal (sdist) according to the predicted sound signal and a reference sound signal (sref), and b4) correcting the initial modulated signal on the basis of the distortion signal, the predicted sound signal and the reference sound signal being determined taking into account the frequency filtering introduced by said transducer. The invention also relates to a processing unit and an associated enclosure.
