The invention relates to a method of manufacturing a semi-finished product, comprising the following steps: providing reinforcing fibers and a thermoplastic resin having a crystallization temperature of Tcresin; mixing the reinforcing fibers with the thermoplastic resin; heating to effect the melting of the thermoplastic resin and to bring it to a temperature above the melting temperature of the resin; and optionally, a calendering step; the semi-product being characterized by a crystallization temperature Tcsemi-product, the Tcsemi-product being greater than or equal to Tcresin.
