Base (1) of a cosmetic case, intended for embedding a removable cartridge (4) comprising a peripheral groove (6) in its lower part, and intended to be fitted into an outer packaging (10), the base (1) comprising two parts integral with one another according to one degree of freedom and movable according to another degree of freedom, intended to adopt a locking and unlocking position of the removable cartridge (4), the base (1) comprising a lower body (2) comprising a side wall of revolution and a bottom wall, and a hollow upper sleeve (3) comprising a lug (8) on the outer face of its cylindrical wall, the lower part of the sleeve upper body (3) being embedded in the lower body (2) along a central axis, the lower body (2) comprising a flexible tab (5a) directed inwardly in its side wall, the free end of said flexible tab ( 5a) being intended to fit into the peripheral groove e (6), the lower body (2) comprising a guide groove (7a) of the lug (8), the upper sleeve (3) comprising a means for pushing the flexible tab (5a) outwards, so that the handling of the upper sleeve (3) relative to the lower body (2) is intended for locking or unlocking the removable cartridge (4) in the base (1), by the interaction of the means push button with the flexible tab (5a).
