This invention provides granules or beads coated with a stable suspension composition comprising cucurbituril particles suspended in a medium. Preferably the cucurbituril is selected from CB[5], CB[6], CB[7], CB[8] or a mixture thereof. The medium is preferably a liquid medium, such as water or a hydroalcoholic system comprising ethanol, methanol and isopropanol. The composition may further comprise a suspending agent such as polyacrylic acid (PAA) or xanthan gum. Also provided is a method of producing the granules or beads by spraying or blending the uncoated granules or beads with the stable suspension composition, wherein the uncoated granules or beads may have an average particle size of between 0.1-10 mm.
