A vehicle 2 comprises a receiver 18 which receives air quality data at the vehicle’s current location. An air inlet 12 automatically controls ingress of air from the exterior of the vehicle 5 to a vehicle cabin 8 depending on the received air quality data. The ingress of air may also depend on the number of people in the vehicle, the average speed, the route taken, or an air quality parameter measured by an internal air sensor 6.
