Method of printing coloured paper

Method comprising selecting coloured paper 2 from available supply which is dyed in a colour in the same colour category as a requested Pantone®; applying a white primer coating 3 to at least one side of the selected paper; applying a printable coating 4 over the primer and printing the Pantone colour requested 5 on at least a part of the printable coating. The colour may be printed using an inkjet printer, a layer of dye or pigment of the pantone may be printed on the printable coating. Also included are claims to printed coloured paper comprising a dyed paper, a white primer coating and a layer of printable coating on the primer where the paper may be compatible with inkjet printing devices and the coating is compatible with dye or pigment inkjet printers.
