摘要
A distributed ledger process, such as a blockchain system, posts transactions between nodes in a network. Transaction data generated in respect of a data node, such as an Internet of Things (IoT) sensor, are validated by comparison with a data source of permitted transaction data types to be generated in respect of the data node, and transaction is posted to the distributed ledger 240 only if it is identified as permitted. Transaction verification data checks embodied include access permissions, including verifying the role of the node 214, expected periodicity of measurement 220 (to avoid flooding/clogging), whether a measure is within an expected range 222, and a packet size check 224. The check can identify invalid transactions such as anomalous readings or nodes that are not conforming or consistent with an expected pattern of reporting of sensor values. The transactions are performed as blockchain transaction or using a Directed Acyclic Graph (DAG) structure. The checking may be performed by a smart contract or by a transaction explorer interface. The validation of transactions may be performed by determining a compound score 213 from multiple checks and comparison to a threshold.
