A board assembly for mounting on a surface

The assembly 2 comprises first 6 and second 10 boards with first and second edges respectively and a connector 14 connecting the boards together such that the first and second edges face each other. The first and second edges each have a groove 16, 18 for receiving an respective arms 22, 24 extending from the connector. The connector also includes a contact formation 26 which in use engages a surface 70 the assembly is mounted on. The boards each have a face 28 that also engages the surface. The connector is fixed to the surface via a fixing device 30, for example a pin or screw, that passes through the connector, possibly through an aperture 68. The connector may have a T shape or have two legs 40 to form a double T shape. The edges of the panels may be such that the edge portion above the groove 36, 32 is longer than the edge portion 38, 34 below the groove. There may be a gap between the boards which either leaves the fixing visible or obscured by the boards or the boards may abut such that there is no gap between them.
