An electronic apparatus comprising a first device 200B; a second device 200A connected to the first device via a peripheral component interconnect (PCI) bus 200C; and a third device 402 connected to the second device and configured to be shifted to a power-saving state, wherein the first device brings the PCI bus into a non-communicable state of a state communicable at low speed, and wherein the second device shifts the third device to the power-saving state after the PCI bus is shifted to the non-communicable state or the state communicable at low speed. The electronic apparatus may be a multifunction printer (MFP) comprising a printer and scanner, the first and second devices may be integrated chips (ICs), and the third device may be a hard disk drive (HDD) or a solid-state drive (SSD). The electronic apparatus may comprise other third devices such as a DRAM (401A). The second device may comprise a sub-processor for changing the power state of the third device. A power-saving state may be achieved by stopping a clock of stopping a power supply.
