A compact mid-drive motor using single-stage gear reduction drive, comprising a housing, a motor body, a clutch (1), a gear reducer mechanism, a central shaft (2), and a crankset (3). The motor body comprises a stator (4), a rotor (5), and a mandrel (6); the central shaft (2) passes through shaft holes at both ends of the housing and is supported and positioned by means of central shaft bearings (7) provided in the housing; the mandrel (6) is parallel to the central shaft (2); the housing is formed by fastening a motor front cover (8) and a motor back cover (9); the motor body is of an outer rotor and inner stator structure; the gear reducer mechanism comprises a pinion gear (10) fixed or integrally provided on the mandrel (6) and a bull gear (11) engaged with the pinion gear; the inner ring of the bull gear is fixed to or integrally formed with the outer ring (1a) of the clutch; the inner ring (1b) of the clutch is mounted on the central shaft (2) by means of a clutch bearing (12); the front end of the inner ring (1b) of the clutch is integrally formed into a crankset positioning sleeve (13) extending out of the shaft hole of the housing to fix the crankset (3). The motor has a compact structure, a small size, and less components, is particularly suitable for an electric bike having small motor design power, and can reduce the production cost.
