The present invention relates to a hierarchical metal-organic polyhedron, a method for manufacturing the same, and a photonic crystal sensor comprising the same, more specifically (a) forming an opal structure of spherical nanoparticles, (b) photosensitive the metal-organic polyhedron A method of manufacturing a hierarchical metal-organic polyhedral thin film comprising infiltrating a dispersion dispersed in a polymer solution into pores of the opal structure, and (c) removing the spherical nanoparticles from the opal structure infiltrated with the dispersion. Through this, a hierarchical metal-organic polyhedral thin film can be prepared and used as a photosensitive sensor with high sensitivity in detecting catalysts, solvents, gases, and ions.
