A method for visually displaying voice processing status is implemented in an electronic device. The electronic device includes at least an array of full color LEDs, one or more microphones and a speaker. The electronic device collects audio inputs through one or more microphones from the environment close to the electronic device, and processes the audio inputs by identifying voice inputs from a user in the environment and / or by responding to the voice inputs. Then, a processing state is determined among a plurality of predefined speech processing states, and for each of the full color LEDs, each predetermined LED lighting specification is determined in association with the determined speech processing state. In accordance with the identified LED lighting specifications of full color LEDs, the electronic device synchronizes the lighting of the array of full color LEDs to provide a visual pattern indicative of the determined speech processing status.
