PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller and a control method for suppressing variation in the output power of a wind farm, in a system configuration for transmitting the generation power of a wind farm by DC.SOLUTION: A wind farm controller includes means for detecting a DC power or a DC voltage, a variation extraction unit operating a power command for suppressing variation in the DC power or DC voltage, and a power command value distribution unit for distributing the power command value to each wind power generator. Based on the power command value thus distributed, output power from the wind power generator is adjusted, and the DC power or DC voltage is controlled to fall within a predetermined range.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
