PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for accurately measuring the amount of organic impurities in ferric citrate hydrate which is not affected by iron ions, that is, for measuring the purity. SOLUTION: The liquid chromatography is carried out by removing iron ions from a solution of ferric citrate hydrate with a cation exchange resin whose base material is crosslinked polystyrene (preferably having a sulfo group as an ion exchange group). Prepare a sample for chromatography. Further, the prepared sample is separated and analyzed by liquid chromatography to analyze ferric citrate hydrate to measure the purity. [Selection diagram] None
