PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cell culture substrate whose constituent is collagen and whose contraction is suppressed during the culture of oral mucosal epithelial cells including gas-liquid interface culture. SOLUTION: This cell culture substrate is composed of (i) intact crosslinked fibrotic collagen, and (ii) a region containing concave and/or convex shapes on at least a part of its surface.
