PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tax exemption procedure support system which reduces burden of a clerk by facilitating tallying of an amount in a receipt and confirmation when a nonresident takes a tax exemption procedure at a tax exemption counter.SOLUTION: The tax exemption procedure support system has a POS terminal device and a tax exemption counter terminal device. The POS terminal device acquires commodity information including tax exemption type of commodities by reading a commodity code of each commodity to be purchased, stores sales data of the commodities, tallies up a purchase amount per tax exemption type on the basis of the commodity information and the sales data to generate tax-free article sales data, issues a receipt including the tax-free article sales data. The tax exemption counter terminal device reads the receipt, acquires the tax-free article sales data, tallies the tax-free article sales data acquired from at least one receipt, determines whether predetermined tax exemption conditions are satisfied per tax exemption type, and when the tax exemption conditions are satisfied, displays predetermined information which is required to prepare a tax exemption procedure document.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 12(A)
